Harmony Olafson, 36, Jamestown, ND passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Harmony was born February 4, 1989 in Jamestown, ND to Val (Flaig) Olafson. Harmony attended school in Jamestown, Spiritwood, Beach and Valley City, ND. She had many jobs throughout her life, working at Subway, various hotels, Cavendish Farms and Super Pumper Convenience Store.
Harmony was always ready for anything-a spontaneous road trip, a night out, or simply staying in and spending time together. She also enjoyed many other things in life. Such as playing bingo and gambling (specifically the Pig Wheel). Harmony was always lucky on that game. Harmony liked collecting rocks, and Elvis Presley memorabilia. She loved all kinds of music, singing, and dancing. Harmony enjoyed being outside, relaxing at the dam, soaking up the sun, and swimming with the dogs (Chico, Brinn and Opal) they were her children. She also loved to drive her many cars, anywhere and everywhere.
Harmony’s other fun adventures were going to concerts, fairs, and tattoo conventions with her sisters. Harmony was always there for her sisters, she wasn’t just family she was our best friend. No matter what we were going through, she was always ready to listen, never judging always understanding.
Harmony had a different relationship with her brothers, they were not always close, but had an unspoken connection between them, even in the distance. She knew they were always there in ways that mattered most, someone to talk to or lend a helping hand when she needed it. They shared memories that were all their own, and a bond that will never be forgotten.
Harmony was also a fun loving, playful, sometimes goofy aunt, with her nieces and nephews. She was always ready to play a game, read a book or imaginary games. Taking them for walks or playing at the park.
Harmony was an amazing, caring daughter, always there with love and support for her mom. Helping when needed no matter the task, if she didn’t know how to fix something, she would figure it out and get it done.
Harmony was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 10, it was something she struggled with most of her life. On December 22, 2025, Harmony had a massive seizure and became unresponsive. She was transferred to Sanford in Fargo, where she remained on life support until January 24, 2026, at that time her family removed life support. She fought for two days, “true Harmony style” before she went home to the Lord.
Harmony is survived by her mom Val; brothers Josh (Sharon), Adam (Sam); sisters Deidre (Matt) Bray, Gabrielle (Shane), Kajun (Rob); nieces McKenzie, Jazmyn, Aria, Zailey; nephews Adrian, Dominick; aunt Sue (Gene); uncle’s Steve (Rendae), Clay (Kim); and seven cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandpa Willy and many close friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Eddy Funeral Home with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.
