Community members are invited to come together in support of local veterans at a special fundraiser meal benefiting the Veterans Honor Flight of North Dakota and Minnesota. The event will take place Sunday, Feb 22, from 11 am to 2 pm at Club 1883 (KC Club) in Jamestown.
The meal will be offered as a free-will donation, with all proceeds helping provide veterans the opportunity to participate in Honor Flight a program that transports veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in their honor. The experience is often described as a once-in-a-lifetime journey of recognition, reflection, and gratitude.
Guests can enjoy a hearty meal featuring their choice of country-fried steak or ham, along with cheesy potatoes, corn, and beverages including coffee, water, and lemonade. Both dine-in and takeout options will be available upon request, making it easy for community members to participate.
Honor Flight of ND/MN serves veterans from across the region, with priority given to those who served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, as well as veterans facing serious health challenges. The program relies on donations and community support to cover travel costs so veterans can attend at no expense to themselves.
Organizers encourage the public to attend, enjoy a meal, and help honor the service and sacrifice of the nation’s veterans. Every contribution helps ensure that more veterans have the chance to make the meaningful trip to Washington, D.C., and receive the recognition they deserve.
For more information about the fundraiser, community members may contact Kurt or Diane Andersen at 701-269-1388 or 701-252-4020, or Kent or Sue Haas at 701-269-1062 or 701-269-2908.
The fundraiser will be held at Club 1883, located in Jamestown.
