kettleCobornsJamestown, ND (CSi)– The Jamestown Salvation Army  announces that the applications for The Angel Tree, and Christmas Baskets are being taken through December 6, 2013 at the Jamestown Salvation Army. The days and times are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays, from 9-a.m., to noon and 1-4-p.m. Please bring ID’s and Medical Cards.

 The Jamestown Salvation Army has set this year’s Kettle Campaign goal is $147,000, $1,000 more than last year.

Money raised in the Kettle Campaign goes to the Salvation Army’s many programs, including rental and utility assistance, food pantry, prescription assistance, bus vouchers, clothing vouchers, gas assistance, emergency lodging, youth programs, disaster services and more.

The Salvation Army partners with businesses or individual donors who agree to match kettle donations.

 Red Kettles are open for donations at Park Plaza Mall by Coborn’s Grocery and at the Buffalo Mall by Home of Economy, and the Sears entrance, and Walmart.

The last day for all kettles is December 24. Donations can also be made by mail or directly to the Salvation Army office, on First Avenue North in Jamestown.
