Looking for a fun and relaxing way to spend your Friday evening? The Arts Center in Jamestown is hosting pottery painting nights for all ages—from infants to adults—offering a creative experience perfect for individuals, families, or groups of friends.

Classes run Fridays from January 23 through May 8, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the studio, located at 115 2nd St SW. With three sessions remaining, now is a great time to join in on the fun.

Participants can choose from a wide variety of prefabricated ceramic pieces, including figurines, mugs, and lidded pots. Once you’ve selected your piece, you can personalize it using acrylic paints to take home the same evening, or opt for a food-safe, glossy glaze that will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup in about a week.

The class is designed to be flexible and welcoming—no experience is necessary. Guests can reserve a spot in advance or simply stop in the night of the event.

Pricing is based on the size of the ceramic piece:

  • Small: $15
  • Medium: $25
  • Large: $35
  • Extra Large: $50

All materials, including the pottery piece, paints or glaze, and kiln firing, are included in the price. Payment is accepted at the door by cash, card, or check.

Whether you’re looking to unwind, explore your artistic side, or enjoy a creative outing with loved ones, pottery painting at Hansen Studio offers something for everyone.
