The NDSU Extension Stutsman County is helping local gardeners kick off the growing season with a hands-on learning opportunity this spring.

“Spring into Growing: Monday Plant Workshops” will feature an upcoming session focused on plant grafting, scheduled for Monday the 27th at the Stutsman County Extension Office.

This interactive workshop is designed for gardeners of all experience levels who want to expand their skills and learn the art and science behind grafting plants. Participants will get a chance to see techniques up close and gain practical knowledge they can apply in their own gardens.

Plant grafting is a valuable method used to combine desirable traits from two plants—such as disease resistance and fruit quality—into one stronger, more productive plant. Whether you’re growing fruit trees, ornamentals, or simply enjoy experimenting in the garden, this session offers a great introduction.

The workshop will take place at:
502 10th Ave SE, Jamestown
