The community is invited to come together in remembrance and gratitude this Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026, for a series of patriotic activities organized by the Jamestown Patriotic Council.

The morning will begin at the Gladstone Inn & Suites with a memorial remembrance service starting at 9:00 am. The program will feature a guest speaker, a performance by a Drum and Bugle Corps, and special recognitions honoring those who served and sacrificed for the nation.

Following the service, participants are encouraged to continue the observance with a wreath-lowering ceremony at the Nickeus Park bridge. Additional remembrances will take place at Fort Seward at 11:00 am, as well as at various cemeteries throughout the city. These tributes will be led by local veteran organizations, auxiliaries, and the 20th Infantry Group.

At 11:30 am, the community is invited to gather at the All Vets Club for a luncheon, social, and refreshments. A free-will offering will be accepted, with proceeds supporting the Jamestown Patriotic Council and its future efforts to promote and preserve patriotic traditions in the community. The club will close following the luncheon.

Residents are encouraged to take time during the holiday weekend to reflect, remember, and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
