The James River Valley Library System is inviting the community to step into a magical world of adventure, costumes, and fantasy during its upcoming “Fantasy Faire” event on Saturday, May 30.

The free family-friendly event will take place from 1 pm to 3 pm at The Lodge, located across from Alfred Dickey Public Library in Jamestown at 104 3rd St. SE.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in their favorite fantasy-themed attire as they enjoy an afternoon filled with games, treasure hunts, enchanting activities, and magical fun. Organizers say guests can also sample “enchanting potions,” participate in interactive games, and compete for prizes.

A costume contest will award prizes for the best individual and group costumes, and participants can also enter a raffle for a chance to win additional prizes.

The Fantasy Faire is designed to bring together fantasy lovers of all ages for an afternoon of creativity, imagination, and community fun.
