Robert Braun, 88, Jamestown, ND died Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Eventide in Jamestown. Robert was born October 13, 1937 in rural Edmonds, ND, the son of Pearl (Bush) and Edward Braun.  He attended the local school until the 6th grade at which time he went to work full time on the farm.

He went on to work at the ND State Hospital at the age of 18 where he met his wife, Ellenore Thompson.  They made their home in Jamestown.

Robert spent most of his career working as a hauler for Border States Construction.

Robert is survived by his son, Brent; grandchildren, MaKenna Braun; Jeremy (Tonya) Anderson; Justin (Jada) Anderson: Alicia (Christopher) Gussiaas; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Thiessen; Anna Lindberg; and brother -in-law, Chris Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Roberta Anderson; parents; sisters, Margaret Braun, Mildred Bata, Eileen Moxness, Elaine Allen, Pearl Essig, Elenor Schweitzer and Lily Krogfoss; and brothers, Edward Braun, Andy Braun and Walter Braun.
