Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Oct 17, 2013) — The Jamestown Arts Center has received a $20,000 grant from Arts Midwest
Arts Center Director Taylor Barnes says the grant will help in developing a strategic enhancement plan for Jamestown, including revitalizing the Art Park.
Specifically the grant will be used to hire a landscape architect along with a design firm to that could help guide future development in Jamestown.
The Arts Center hosted input sessions Wednesday and Thursday with people from different community groups to announce the grant and start the process of learning how people want Jamestown to grow and be in 10 to 20 years.
At the Thursday input session, attendees said they would like Jamestown to be known as a community that balances work and play.
Anyone interested in offering input on the strategic enhancement plan may contact the Arts Center at 251-2496, or by email to info@jamestownarts.com.
