Jeanne Flatt Diemert, 98, Fargo, ND (formerly of Pillsbury and Valley City, ND) passed away at her home while under the care of HIA Hospice. Jeanne’s funeral service will be in the Traditions Funeral Services Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel at 2PM, Monday June 22, 2026. There will be a time of visitation the hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery, Valley City. The service will be live streamed, then archived, on a link provided along with her obituary on her tribute page at www.oliver-nathanchapel.com. Jeanne Renee Flatt Diemert was born May 14, 1928, in Page, ND the daughter of Orrin and Sylvia (Soldol) Johnston. She was a 1946 graduate of Hope High School.

On July 13, 1946, in Moorhead, MN, she married Wesley Flatt. They made their home near Pillsbury, ND where they farmed. Wesley died in 1963. Jeanne worked at Clarence Keyes Store in Pillsbury for three years.

September 29, 1984, Jeanne married Marvin “Bub” Diemert in Valley City, ND. They lived in Valley City, wintering in Mesa, AZ for 17 years and moved to Fargo, ND in 1997. Marvin died in 2017.

Jeanne was a member of Pillsbury Presbyterian Church and the ladies aide there. She also belonged to the Baldwin Homemakers.

She is survived by her children, Debby Maust and Becky Burchill both of Fargo, Kelc (Peter) Hill of Detroit Lakes, MN, Carey (Rochelle) Flatt of Pillsbury, and Jody (Rick) Rahlf of Cooperstown, ND; step children, Allison (Marshall) Kutzer of West Fargo, ND, Janet (Senster) Vangsness of Leonard, ND, and Linda Bishop of Horace, ND. She also leaves several grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Wesley and Marvin; her parents; a sister, Carmen Kutzer; a son-in-law, Russell Burchill; step-children, Linda Beck, Duane Burchill, and Pat Diemert; and a step-grandson, Dustin Miraldi.
