I, Beatrice Pauline Nash Faust am writing my own obituary in April of 2015. I am an ordinary woman who has been blessed by God in many ways. First of all, I was born to some very good parents (Palmer and Bertha Nash) on April 5, 1933 near Colfax, ND. I was blessed with a great husband, Daniel Faust, when we were married on August 10 in 1957. I was further blessed with six wonderful children and twelve grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren with 2 on the way. My family will add here the date I take my last breath: July 6, 2026. In my life I attended country school and graduated from Wahpeton High School in 1950. I attended Mayville State Teacher’s College intermittently with teaching elementary education until I graduated in 1957. My husband attended seminary and was ordained as a Lutheran pastor in 1960. Dan served churches in the following parishes where we lived: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Preeceville, Saskatchewan, Canada; Drayton, ND; Hastings, ND; Harwood, ND; Rutland, ND; and Dazey, ND. In retirement we lived in Valley City where Dan served the church at Oriska, ND. I felt my calling was to live as a Christian, to be a help-mate to my husband and a mother to my children a top priority. The next priority was to be a friend to those who needed a friend wherever possible. I often didn’t succeed but fortunately we have a forgiving God that everyone can call on in times of need, as well as rejoicing in all the blessings. I am survived by my children: Marco (Naomi) Montpelier, VA, Tim (Jan) Park River, ND, Monica (Doug) Cox, Chaska, MN, Nate, Fargo, ND, Jon (Lisa) Plymouth, MN, and Clint (Audrey), Plymouth, MN, all grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. I was preceded in death by husband, Daniel, my parents, brothers Kenneth and Ernest Nash and all sisters- and brothers-in-law. Bea’s Celebration of Life will be held at Faith Lutheran in Valley City, North Dakota on July 11th at 11:30 with lunch following. Visitation at 10 am.
