Patricia Ann (Schaff) Triebold passed away July 30, 2026, at her residence in Valley City, ND. Pat was born December 28, 1937, in Mandan, ND to Adam and Anna Schaff. She attended Mandan schools, graduating in 1957. She attended NDSCS in Wahpeton for two years, getting her associate degree in bookkeeping.

She met the love of her life, Herbert Triebold, and they were married on June 14, 1959. Along with being a farmer’s wife, Pat worked for various businesses in Valley City while raising their six children, Kathy (John) Kracht, Rick (Kathy) Triebold, Denise (Bill Artis) Gruman, Diane (Art) Hagebock, Jeff (Pam) Triebold, and Duane Triebold.

Pat was noted for hosting elaborate holiday celebrations for her family. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, puzzles, baking, and attending all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities.

A huge part of Pat and Herb’s life was being very active in the Eagles Club. The two of them were awarded Mr. and Mrs. Eagle. They volunteered countless hours at the club along with attending many state and national functions.

Herb passed away January 14, 2023. Pat was also preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Anna Schaff; stepdad, John Zent; brothers, Leroy and Edward; son, Duane; grandchildren, Adam Aus, William Hagebock, and Eric Triebold; and son-in-law, Charles Gruman.

She is survived by five of her children, along with grandchildren: Josh (Cara) Aus, Daniel (Casey) Triebold, Scott (Amanda) Triebold, Jeremy Aus, Amanda (Jamie) Meyer, Jennifer (Matt) Staska, Marandi Triebold, Katie (RJ) Gross, Melony (John) Anderson, Jacob Triebold, and Cody Triebold. She is also survived by great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Jaelyn, Bently, Connor, Gavin, Serenity, Jasmine, Tyson, Willa, Lauren, Natalie, Levi, McKenna, Lillian, James, Dylan, Lucas, Stella, Ava, Deacon, Adalyn, John, Lily, and Remi; two sisters, Geri Roe and Judy Mason; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bjarne Breske; and sisters-in-law, Karen Zent and Mary Person.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Traditions Funeral Service. A prayer service will be Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Epworth United Methodist Church, Valley City, at 7 PM; with visitation one hour prior to the prayer service. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7th, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Epworth United Methodist Church in Valley City, with visitation held one hour before the service. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Valley City.
