LeeAnn Peterson, age 77, died August 8, 2026, at home under the care of Hospice. Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 10:30 at Faith Lutheran Church, Valley City, ND, with the Reverend Jamie Desai officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Valley City.

LeeAnn (Homan) Peterson was born August 30, 1948, in Valley City. The daughter of LaVern and Audrey (Faust) Homan. She was raised on the family farm near Valley City where she enjoyed helping her dad with the chores and baking goodies with her mom. She was educated in a rural school near her home until the 7th grade. At that time, she finished her high school education at North Central, Rogers, ND. Upon graduation from high school she continued her education, graduating from Valley City State Teachers College with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She then accepted a second-grade teaching position at Steele, ND. LeeAnn taught in Steele for seven years. Upon leaving Steele, she took a position in Jamestown, ND at the Human Service Center as a clerk typist.

She met Ron Peterson in Valley City where they were married in 1995. They resided in Valley City together until her death.

LeeAnn was a member of Faith Lutheran Church for many years. She enjoyed baking, shopping, traveling and visiting her friends, cousins and nephews.

LeeAnn is survived by her husband Ron; her sister Cheryl Peterson of Valley City; sister-in-law Lynette Homan of West Fargo, ND; nephews Brandon Homan of West Fargo, Cory (Bridget) Buck and family, of Valley City; bother-in-law Gary (Jennifer) Peterson of Valley City; nieces Lisa (Aaron) Beyer, and family and Jessica (Mark Winkler) Peterson and family all of Valley City; sister-in-law Gloria Lowe of Florida; nephews Greg Lowe and Kevin (Alicia) Lowe; and several dear cousins all of whom she loved very much.
LeeAnn was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; her brother, Kim Homan; brothers-in-law Wes Peterson and Jim Peterson.

Family prefers memorials be directed to Faith Lutheran Church or the American Diabetes Association.
