Jamestown will welcome University of Jamestown students and community members to the annual Community Block Party on Wednesday, August 26, in downtown Jamestown.
The city-wide event begins at 5 pm on Main Street, which will be blocked off for the evening. Local businesses, organizations and community groups will set up booths along the street, offering food, drinks, prizes, information, games and music.
The Community Block Party is designed to help University of Jamestown students become familiar with Jamestown businesses and organizations while bringing students and community members together for an evening of fun.
Everyone is invited to attend, and there is no cost or registration required. Hundreds of UJ students are expected to make their way downtown for the event.
The Block Party will run from 5 to 7:30 pm Attendees are encouraged to bring a smile and a bag or backpack to carry the goodies and information they collect throughout the evening.
