Clarice M. Spitzer, 90, of Jamestown, ND, died Saturday afternoon, August 15, 2026 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Clarice Mae Spitzer was born March 29, 1936 at Kensal, ND, the daughter of William and Alma (Ronholm) Spitzer. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Kensal. Clarice attended local schools and graduated from Kensal High School in 1954. She attended St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Fargo, ND, graduating as a registered nurse in 1957. Clarice was employed at Wesley Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL, St. Luke’s Hospital, Denver, CO, Holy Family Hospital and Madison North Nursing Home, Spokane, WA, and Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, retiring in 1998.
Clarice was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown. She enjoyed attending bible classes, quilting at church, traveling and gardening. She was also a member of Concordia LWML and Ruth Circle.
Clarice is survived by a sister, Norma Lipetzky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Carol Burtner; brother-in-law, Roger, Burtner; brother, Kenneth Spitzer; sister-in-law, Maxine Spitzer; brother-in-law, Bill Lipetzky; and great-niece, Michelle.
Memorial Service – 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2026 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Rev. Tom Eckstein officiating.
Burial – Kensal Cemetery, Kensal, ND after lunch at the church.
