The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and staff recently helped Chapter 40 Bookshop celebrate its opening with a ribbon cutting.

Chapter 40 Bookshop is owned by Brooke & Chris George and is located at 123 1st Ave. S, Suite 2, in downtown Jamestown. The shop focuses on young adult and adult readers, with genres including fiction, romance, fantasy, mystery, and thriller.

The Georges opened the shop after years of finding comfort, inspiration, and escape through books. The name Chapter 40 reflects Brooke’s own next chapter as she enters her 40s and turns a longtime dream into a local business. Her goal is to create more than a place to buy books. She wants the shop to be a welcoming space for book clubs, conversations, quiet reading, and connection.

The opening adds another small business to downtown Jamestown and gives residents a new place to support local retail. Community members are encouraged to visit Chapter 40 Bookshop, meet Brooke, and explore the new space.
