The University of Jamestown Theatre will present the hit musical “Come From Away” on November 5-7, at 7:30 pm at the DeNault Auditorium in the Reiland Fine Arts Center, 618 S. University Drive in Jamestown.

The inspiring musical tells the true story of how the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, welcomed thousands of stranded airline passengers following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

When 38 planes were diverted to Gander, approximately 7,000 passengers suddenly found themselves far from home. The community responded with open arms, providing food, shelter and kindness during an uncertain and difficult time.

“Come From Away” celebrates the compassion, generosity and human connections that emerged from tragedy, reminding audiences of the power of community and the kindness of strangers.
