Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The two suspects in the robbery of Northland Financial in Medina, who were arrested over the weekend, appeared Monday in Southeast District Court, before Judge Thomas Merrick, for their bond hearing.

They are both charged with robbery and not conspiracy to commit burglary as previously reported.  Each face felony charges of criminal conspiracy and robbery. They each could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted. Court documents do not list attorneys for the men.

Both charges are Class B felonies with a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

40 year old Rendell Hardy’s bail was set at $400,000 cash by Merrick,  34 year olf Satrone Boyd’s bail was set at $200,000 cash.

 HardyBoydHardy is from Florida and Boyd from Lincoln. Authorities say the two men have been living and working in Dickinson.

Both remain in custody at the Jamestown Correctional Center.

The two men are accused of robbing the Northland Financial Bank in Medina around 10:30 a.m. Friday.

The suspects fled the bank’s parking lot in a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer, which was found abandoned south of Medina on Highway 30 later Friday morning.

Stutsman County Sheriff, Chad Kaiser said the Trailblazer was reported stolen out of Bismarck.

The pair reportedly then changed vehicles, and police found a Lincoln Navigator, allegedly used by the suspects, in Dickinson at a residence where the suspects lived while working in that city.

Two men who worked in the oil industry in Dickinson have been arrested as suspects in Friday’s armed robbery of the Northland Financial Bank in Medina.

Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser says, 40 year old Rendell Hardy, from Florida, was arrested in Dickinson on Friday night.

34 year old Satrone Boyd,  was arrested at a Fargo hotel Saturday morning.  Boyd is a former Dickinson State football player, who was on parole with  his address listed as Lincoln, North Dakota.

They are being held at the Stutsman County Correctional Center in Jamestown.  Authorities found a Lincoln Navigator allegedly used by the suspects in Dickinson at a residence where the suspects lived while working in that city.

Kaiser is unsure of the men’s employers.  He says  multiple agencies were involved in the arrests.

Those included: Police Departments from Jamestown, Dickinson, , Fargo, West Fargo and Lincoln.  Sheriff’s Offices involved are from Burleigh and Stark counties.  Also involved in the investigation were:  North Dakota Highway Patrol, the FBI, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension; and the State and Local Intelligence Center.

 

Medina, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Oct 25, 2013) — Another bank robbery in ND, this time in Medina, happening about 10:40 am Friday at Northland Financial.   Authorities are searching for the suspects, wearing Halloween masks  at the time of the holdup.

Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser says two men entered the bank, one held a handgun and demanded money.

Kaiser says the two men were short in stature, one was black and the other was undetermined.  They’re both described as being in their late teens or early 20s and about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. They wore masks and bulky dark clothing.

An undetermined amount of money was taken.

Kaiser adds that the pair fled the scene in a Chevy Trailblazer SUV, stolen from the Bismarck-Mandan area,  that was found abandoned about 1 mile south of Medina on Hwy 30, and they apparently switched vehicles.   They might now be driving a light-colored late-model Lincoln Navigator.

No one was injured.  Kaiser said the robbery is under investigation.
