JamestownFireDepartmentlogoJamestown, ND (Oct 30, 2013) — The Jamestown City Fire Department responded to an apartment fire Wednesday evening about 7:48 –p.m., at 1210 3rd Avenue, Southwest.

Thirty firefighters and six units responded to the call.

No injuries reported, with the units on the scene about an hour and a half.

Smoke damage was reported.

The fire remains under investigation.

City Fire Chief, Jim Reuther says it was not known how many people had been living in the apartment.

The apartment is not habitable after the fire and one adult and one child are staying with family following the fire.

The  Buffalo Valley  Red Cross also offered assistance at the scene.
