“Tuskkegee Airmen,” Presentation, Ron Spriggs

Valley City (CSi) — VCSU is hosting “Tuskegee Airmen,” historian, Ron Spriggs, with his presentation of the “Legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen,”

The program is Thursday (Nov 14, 2013) from 4-p.m., to 5:30-p.m., at Froemke Auditorium inside Foss Music Hall.

A segregated unit, The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African-American pilots in World War II, ttrained at the Tuskegee Institute, a historically black college in Tuskegee, Alabama.

Ron Spriggs is an oral historian, lecturer and curator of the Tuskegee Airmen exhibit.

Spriggs founded the Ron Spriggs Exhibit of Tuskegee Airmen in December 2002 as an independent means of telling the history and legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen.
