VCPD-ThompsonJamestown (CSi) — Two men were arrested in connection with an incident that occurred early Saturday (Nov 23, 2013) morning, where a homeowner reported blood on the window of a garage door, which was opened.

Valley City Police Chief Fred Thompson says officers were dispatched by Barnes County Dispatch at 3:43 a.m. to 530 6th Ave. Northwest.

Subsequent to the investigation it was determined that an individual entered the garage and entered a vehicle inside.

The officers were able to track the unknown individual to a house at 546 6th Street Northwest, by following footprints in the snow.

The investigation included physical evidence at the scene, and talking with four Valley City men at the house, which led police to believe that an altercation had occurred between the men.

Further investigations at the house led to two arrests.

20 year old Ring Akol, was arrested for minor in possession, consumption of alcohol.

22 year old Shol Gout, was arrested for disorderly conduct.
