Jamestown (CSi) — The Jamestown Police Department is asking for the public’s help with information about vandalisms that occurred to several Jamestown businesses late Friday or early Saturday.
Corporal Bob Schlenvogt says building windows were damaged at:
- Vining Oil,
- The Jamestown Sun,
- Gun & Reel Sports, Inc.,
- Wells Fargo Bank,
- US Bank.
Vehicle windows were damaged at:
- Wilhelm, Inc.
- Affordable Motors
- J&L Service.
Schlenvogt says rocks were used to damage one of the front doors at Gun & Reel and Wells Fargo.
A type of pellet gun or BB gun inflicted damage the windows at the other locations.
The first vandalism call into the LEC Dispatch was at about 6:36 a.m. from Vining Oil.
The second call came from The Jamestotown Sun.
The majority of damage occurred to businesses along Second Avenue from Second Street Southwest north to Fifth Street Northwest, and along First Avenue South.
Anyone who has information about the vandalisms, or who may have seen some something or someone suspicious along Second and First Avenues late Friday night or early Saturday morning is asked to call dispatch at 252-1000.
The incident remains under investigation.
