BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota youth ages 12 to 15 can take
to the field in search of deer later this week.
The 9  1/2-day youth deer hunting season starts at noon on Friday.
Each youth hunter must be under the direct supervision of an adult
while hunting.
Licensed youth ages 12 and 13 can hunt antlerless white-tailed
deer statewide.

Those 14 and 15 with a “youth season” license can
hunt statewide for any deer, except antlerless mule deer in certain
units.

A special license is needed to hunt antlered mule deer in
those units, which can be found on the state Game and Fish
Department website at http://www.gf.nd.gov .
North Dakota’s main deer season – the gun season – is Nov. 9-25.
