Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The Jamestown Rural Fire Department responded to hay and crop fires.
Rural Fire Chief, Rick Woehl, says rural firefighters were called out about 3 p.m. Saturday (Sept 8, (2012), about five miles northwest of Jamestown, on U.S. Highway 281 at the road to Parkhurst Campground.
100 acres of crops were burned.
Eight units and 18 firefighters were on the scene for about 3 1/2 hours.
Then at about 5:25 p.m. Monday (Sept 10, 2012), rural fire fighters were called out to an area five miles south and three miles east of Jamestown, where about ten acres of hay was burned.
There were no injuries at either fire.
