Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Stutsman Development Corporation announced at Monday’s meeting, that the developer of a proposed Microtel Inn in the Interstate 94 Industrial Park has decided not to purchase a lot from the JSDC.
CEO Connie Ova said at the monthly meeting Monday, that “John Shaw has changed his mind and will not be signing the purchase agreement. He wanted a purchase option rather than a purchase agreement. Shaw said he would look at other options in Jamestown.”
The JSDC had agreed to sell Shaw Development Group a lot during its September meeting. The purchase agreement included a requirement that construction on the project be complete within two years of the purchase agreement.
Ms. Ova also says that Dakota Spirit AgEnergy had begun site preparation work for the ethanol plant at Spiritwood. She also announced the Spiritwood Energy Park Association was in the process of finalizing bids for the rail loop project that would serve DSA and possibly other projects at Spiritwood.
