Fall forums series begin September 17, 2012
 
Seven women candidates in this fall’s election will be at Valley City State University Monday, September 17, 2012, participating in a forum sponsored by the campus/community group “What in the World is Going On?” Three of the women are Republicans: Kirsten Baesler, candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction, Kelly Schmidt, incumbent State Treasurer, and Myrene Peterson, candidate for District 24 State House.

 
The other four, Democrats, are: Ellen Chaffee, candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Pam Gulleson, candidate for US Congress, Sharon Buhr and Naomi Muscha candidates for District 24 State House.These women will discuss the circumstances that helped them decide to run for office, why they think very few women do and the state/federal issues that are, in their opinions, most important in this election.

 
There will also be an opportunity for questions from the audience.The event will be held in Froemke Auditorium at 7:30 pm.
