NEW YORK (AP) – The chance of there being a new contract between the NHL and its players looks dim.
The contract is set to expire Saturday night at midnight and there are no talks planned.
In an email to The Associated Press, NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said, “It’s unfortunate, but it’s the reality of the situation.”
