Olympic Hockey: Russians Eliminated

cbcolympics

SOCHI, Russia (AP) – The Russians have been eliminated from Olympic hockey competition. The Russian men’s team lost Wednesday to Finland, 3-to-1, despite a roster of big-name stars, including the NHL’s reigning MVP, Alex Ovechkin. The loss crushed the Russians’ dreams of winning hockey gold medals in front of their own fans. Russian teams have won eight gold medals in hockey, but none in the last 22 years.
