Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Regional Airport Authority tabled action on any of the seven bids received to build nine new tee hangars, with some discrepancies with the bid specifications for most of the bids.
Steve Aldinger, with Interstate Engineering, said the seven bids were opened Monday and all of the bids were over the engineer’s estimated project cost of $917,000.
He says the high bid was $1.4 million, the low was $989,000.
Aldinger said he and Jamestown City Prosecutor Leo Ryan recommended the Airport Authority table consideration of the bids until next month.
Aldinger said he will review the bids with Ryan to see if the bids are legitimate and meet the bid specifications.
Aldinger said if none of the bids meet the bid specifications, the Airport Authority would have to rebid the project.
In other business, the Airport Authority reappointed Jim Boyd as Authority Chairman, Jeff Wilhelm Vice Chairman and Matt Leitner Manager/Treasurer.
