Jamestown (CSi) The University of Jamestown has announced that Jamestown High School’s McKayla Orr has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Jimmies.
She averaged 14 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.4 assists per game this past season for the Blue Jays.
UJ head coach Greg Ulland says, “She’s very talented, very athletic. She plays extremely hard and she’s very competitive. She wants to win and be successful and those are the types of kids we want.
Orr played on an AAU team coached by Ulland, who added, “One thing that really stood out was that when we were in some of those bigger tournaments in places like Chicago she competed and really held her own.
“She’s a really good get for us. She’s going to be a big asset to the program.”
