Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Sept. 20, 2012)  —  The Jamestown Rural Fire Department was called to the Cargill Malt plant, at Spiritwood, about 3:20 Thursday afternoon.

Smoke was cause by an equipment malfunction, with a bearing failure, and was contained, as fire fighters cleaned dust off outside the elevator.

No property damage, and no injuries reported.

Five  units and 19 rural fire fighters were on the scene almost two hours.

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The Jamestown Rural Fire Department sent six units and 12 firefighters to a soybean field four miles west of Jamestown Friday, (Sept 21, 2012), about 4- o”Clock.

The fire started from a combine fire that spread to 30 acres of stubble.

A neighboring farmer assisted digging fire breaks with a tractor and disk.

Assisting at the scene was the Pingree Rural Fire Department, with the units on the scene about an hour and a half.
