Jamestown (CSi) The Buffalo City Tourism Foundation (BCTF) has revealed its new tourism brand for city of Jamestown. Searle Swedlund, executive director of the BCTF, announced the new direction during a community event where the “Discover Jamestown” logo was revealed.
The Jamestown Arts Center was transformed into an outdoor experience to showcase all the ways the new brand will create a compelling invitation for visitors. BCTF board member Toni Pirkl, says, “We wanted to share this work with the community and invite them to re-discover Jamestown. We are fortunate to live in a community with so much to offer.”
BCTF Board member Tanea Clocksene, adds, “We are thrilled with the outcome. We are proud to be the ‘buffalo city,’ but we are so much more.”
The new approach embraces Jamestown’s identity as the buffalo city while highlighting the outdoors. The new brand targets campers, mountain bikers and other outdoors enthusiasts by showcasing the rich beauty of the rolling prairie and the close proximity of the Pipestem and Jamestown Reservoirs.
BCTF Board member Lisa Barnick, says, “My family has camped on these lakes and biked the trails for years. We are excited to share the beauty of this area with others and invite them to experience Jamestown in a new way.”
Buffalo City Tourism Foundation was created in 2004 as the marketing and tourism coordinating entity for the Jamestown area. Jamestown is home to the World’s Largest Buffalo, the National Buffalo Museum, two white buffalo as well as the Frontier Village, The Arts Center, Fort Seward and Stutsman County Memorial Museum.
