Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — An altercation last Saturday evening (Sept 22, 2012) in the 200 block of Sixth Avenue Southeast, has led the city of Jamestown to an investigation and a possible charge of simple assault, against a former Jamestown College football player.
Jamestown City prosecutor, Leo Ryan’s report says Jamestown Police was called to the area about midnight, where the alleged victim, a 21 year old Jimmie football player had allegedly been assaulted.
The city prosecutor is pursuing a simple assault charge against 19 year old Gavonnah Williams, from Texas.
The charge is a Class B misdemeanor.
Six other males were purportedly involved in the alleged attack.
Those individuals are listed as, 18 year old Darius Threadgill, 19 year old Ronald Gordon , 19 year old Breun Crenshaw, 19 year old Tyrus Kendrick, and 18 year old Terrelle Owens, all of Texas.
They were identified as the attackers by the victim and are former Jamestown College football players.
Jamestown Police Chief, Scott Edinger says the men left Jamestown on Tuesday, and police officers were present when the former football players boarded a bus.
No arrests have been made in the case.
Jamestown College President, Dr. Bob Badal would not comment, on any disciplinary action against students.
