Jamestown (CSi) Events in connection with this year’s Stutsman County Relay for Life included an event Friday evening at the World’s Largest Buffalo, in Jamestown. 21 photos posted at FACEBOOK. Tag & Share.
To call attention to the many types of cancers being battled, volunteers placed 50 wreaths around the neck of the concrete buffalo. Barb Togstad made all the wreaths.
Each color, like the familiar ribbons, represent the fight against cancers. Those in attendance wore purple shirts, purple being the Relay For Life color.
The public, cancer survivors, and caregivers attended.
Another activity set for Sunday June 8, 2014 is the Survivor’s Tea, set for 2-p.m., at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Jamestown.
The Tea will honor all cancer survivors, their caregivers, and anyone who wants to come and honor these special people.
Refreshments will be served.
