Jamestown (CSi) To go along with the new branding, “Jamestown Tourism” is the slightly changed name to replace the former Buffalo City Tourism moniker.
On Tuesday’s Wayne Byers Show, on CSi Cable 2, Jamestown Tourism Director, Searle Swedlund said the new name along with the new branding “Discover Jamestown, North Dakota,” better reflects the offerings available in the area.
He said tourism still promotes such attractions as The World’s Largest Buffalo, the buffalo herd, Frontier Village, the National Buffalo Museum and other traditional attracts, plus the historical nature of the area.
In addition tourism is extending its efforts to promote the Jamestown area as an outdoor attraction for campers and others, highlighting the Jamestown Reservoir, and outdoor availability’s.
Swedlund also pointed out the Jamestown Area Source Guide is available at the tourism office, outside Frontier Village, and is widely distributed through locations in Jamestown, and being sent to locations in the area
