FaithLutheran300FBValley City, ( CSi) Valley City Faith Lutheran Church has approved recommendations for a new church.

The Faith Lutheran Church was destroyed in an arson fire October 21, 2013..

Approval is from building and financial recommendations.

The church’s Finance committee chair Scott Johnson presented a proposed budget, with about 90 percent of funds used to build the new structure coming from insurance money and the land sale where the old church was located.

The new building design and renderings were presented by building committee chairman Keith Hovland and the architectural firm, YHR Partners.

The approval of the YHR Partners design for the new Faith Lutheran Church building is a single floor, with 12,700 square feet, with a sanctuary seating of 288, a fellowship hall, gathering space and offices.

The council and the building committee hope to have the new church open in September of 2015.
