Valley City (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a two vehicle accident on I-94 nine miles east of Valley City near Oriska, injured the two drivers.
The report says on Thursday evening at 10:20-p.m.,
A 2014 Toyota Tundra operated by 28 year old Jordan Wanzek of Jamestown was westbound at approximately 75 miles per hour. The report says Wanzek was distracted by a water bottle that fell onto the floor. He braked just prior to rear-ending a westbound Dodge Durango, driven by 65 year old Linda Sorensen, of Pillsbury, traveling approximately 65 miles per hour.
The Toyota entered the north ditch and rolled several times, coming to rest on its right side in shallow water. The Durango crossed the median and came to rest on eastbound lanes. Both drivers were transported to Mercy Hospital in Valley City, by Barnes County Area Ambulance, where they were treated for injures and released.
Both Drivers were wearing seat belts.
Assisting the Highway Patrol was the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office.
