Jamestown (CSi) While boiling water is not required Jamestown residents using the municipal water system make want to take precautions.

The system received two failed bacteria tests this month.

Jamestown Utility Operations Director, Steve Suko, says city is notifying residents by mail today.

The tests by the North Dakota Health Department indicated the presence of coliform bacteria in two samples taken about a week apart at one of the routine testing locations in Jamestown.
