MILWAUKEE (AP) – New Milwaukee Bucks owners Marc Lasry and Wes Edens admit there may have been errors in the process but they are nonetheless happy to have Jason Kidd as their new head coach.

Kidd was formally introduced Wednesday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. He says he’s excited to work with a young Bucks team that includes No. 2 overall draft pick Jabari Parker.

Kidd says there were no hard feelings regarding his surprising departure from Brooklyn, where he won 44 games as a first-year head coach. He left after a failed bid for more front-office power with the Nets and joined the Bucks over the weekend.

Milwaukee finished with a league worst 15-67 record last season. The Bucks fired Larry Drew shortly before announcing they had hired Kidd.

Meanwhile….

NEW YORK (AP) – The Brooklyn Nets say they have reached an agreement in principle with Lionel Hollins to become their coach, moving quickly after the departure of Jason Kidd.

The deal with the former Memphis Grizzlies coach comes just two days after they made a trade with Milwaukee to allow Kidd out of his contract so the Bucks could hire him.

The Nets then met with Hollins on Monday night and again Tuesday before agreeing to the deal on Wednesday. Terms were not disclosed.

Hollins led Memphis to the 2013 Western Conference finals before he and the Grizzlies parted ways. The Nets considered him last year before hiring Kidd.
