JFD Called To Garage Fire Thursday

Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Fire Department was called to a garage fire about 1:43 p.m., Thursday at 1708 9^th Avenue, Southeast.

City Fire Chief Jim Reuther says the homeowner returned home and discovered the fire and call the fire department.

He says the fire caused heavy smoke, and fire damage to the garage, and light smoke damage to the attached home.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Six city fire units and 28 fire fighters were on the scene for about one hour.
