Valley City (CSi) On Saturday the North Dakota Winter Show Event Center was evacuated for about a half hour as the Valley City Fire Department call, of a smoke odor from a fluorescent light fixture ballast in the office.

Valley City Fire Chief Gary Retterath says fixture was quickly repaired.

At the time of the call, people and animals were inside the North Dakota Winter Show Event Center during the Barnes County 4-H Achievement Days.
