Jamestown (CSi) Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger says 42 year old Mary Jo Baker of Jamestown the subject of a search was located, Wednesday morning about 11:30, seen in a vehicle by police officers in Southeast Jamestown.

Sgt. Brian Miller and officer Andrew Noreen spotted a vehicle that matched the description of Baker’s vehicle, a maroon Chevrolet Equinoix SUV, in the parking lot next to the Village’s amphitheater.

Edinger says Miller and Noreen arrested Baker after they searched the vehicle and found a substance later identified as methamphetamine and meth-related drug paraphernalia.

He says Baker offered no resistance.

She was taken into custody. Police charged her with methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine each is a Class “C” Felony.

Formal charges are pending.

Baker remained in custody at the LEC jail, with her court appearance pending.

At that time a judge could set bond.

Authorities began the search for her about 9-a.m., Tuesday, as a welfare check.

Chief Edinger says, no other information was officially being released late Wednesday morning, pending addtional information.

Authorities began the search for her about 9-a.m., Tuesday, as a welfare check.

Jamestown Police  is searching for 42 year old Mary Jo Baker, of Jamestown.

Police are looking to do a welfare check on her.

Assistant Chief John Johnson says Baker owns a maroon Chevrolet Equinox SUV with North Dakota license plate EVN 611.

She’s described as approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with shoulder length, dark brown hair.

Officers began the search for Baker at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Johnson says her family and friends are concerned.
