
Jamestown (CSi) Authorities are investigating a reported stabbing of a man, allegedly by a 39 year old Brainerd, MN woman, on Friday afternoon, about 2:15, during an altercation between the two, at the Jamestown Lakeside Marina Campgrounds.
A section of the campground was being kept off limits while investigators were at the scene.
The 51 year old male victim, listed as from Moorhead, MN., was taken by Jamestown Area Ambulance Service to Jamestown Regional Medical Center and then air lifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo, where he underwent surgery, Friday, for wounds to his neck. Authorities say the wounds did not appear life-threatening.
The female suspect was taken into custody at the scene, for attempted murder, and was being held at the LEC jail in Jamestown, awaiting formal charges.
The pair were enroute to Williston, when they stopped with their camper at a campgrounds, site, Thursday night, purportedly not paying for the previously reserved spot.
After obtaining a search warrant for the pop-up camper, law enforcement found nothing illegal. Authorities were then going to search the vehicle that pulled the trailer.
The investigation is continuing by the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Dakota Bureau of Investigation. Jamestown Police was also at the scene.
