Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — Mercy HealthCare Foundation’s 17th Annual Festival of Trees is coming soon.
On Friday’s (Nov 15, 2012) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, the Festival of Trees Coordinator, Stephanie Mayfield said the event will be on November 24, 2012, at the VC Eagles Club beginning at 6:30pm and will include both a silent and live auction, and quilt raffle.
Tickets are $15 each, and may be purchased in advance by contacting the Mercy Hospital Foundation office, at 845-6557, or purchase tickets at the front desk of the hospital, or at the door.
Ms. Mayfield added, that afternoon from 1-3-p.m., the public is invited to stop by the Valley City Eagles, and stroll through the area decorated for Christmas, including the items to be auctioned that evening.
Those include the Christmas trees, along with mantle pieces, and wreaths.
A free will donation will be accepted, and Santa will be on hand, so bring your Christmas lists along that afternoon. She pointed out that this Sunday volunteers start decorating, and continue each evening up to the event.
She added that businesses and the community purchase the trees and decorations.
This year there will be 7 live, and 11 artificial trees, in the auction.
Proceeds raised from this year’s event will go toward the Mercy Hospital renovations of the 2nd floor, patient rooms, along with furthering the development of new programs within the hospital as aiding the funding of equipment that is in need of replacement or upgrading.
Ms Mayfield added the Festival of Trees is one of the greatest ways that Mercy Healthcare Foundation gives back to the community.
