library floor plan 1Jamestown (CSi) The James River Valley Library System Board of Directors has approved the basic floor plans for the possible expansion of Alfred Dickey Library.

The board reserves the right to make changes to the plans if needed.

The floor plans include 11,368 square feet devoted to the adult library, 6,335 square feet devoted to the children’s library and a 787-square-foot young adult section.

The expansion and renovation hinges on voters approval of a quarter-percent sales tax hike to fund the project, on the November 4, 2014 election ballot.
