Mims found not guilty

Jamestown (CSi) A Southeast District Court in Jamestown, jury Tuesday, found 42 year old Eureka, “Lefty” Mims, not guilty of aggravated assault.

Mims, was accused of twice stabbing 34 Marlin Decoteau Jr., of Jamestown, on Janurary, 30^th outside of Wonder Bar Sports Bar in downtown Jamestown.

Mims and Dacoteau were in an altercation earlier in the evening. a

A three-day jury trial began Monday.

Had Mims been found guilty, he faced a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
