Bismarck (CSi) The ND Emergency Management Association recently held their annual membership meeting during the ND Emergency Management Conference in Bismarck.
Stutsman County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist received the Distinguished Service Award which is the highest award that the North Dakota Emergency Management Association gives to honor current members.
He was given the award for clearly influencing the field of Emergency Management and the work of the Association in a positive manner.
Other award presented:
Sherry Adams, Southwest District Health Unit, received the Achievement Award for outstanding or significant emergency management contributions that have occurred within the past year.
Mary Senger, Burleigh County Emergency Manager, received the Lifetime Achievement Award which honors and acknowledges the superior achievement of a member’s emergency management career in North Dakota.
Additionally, the following members were elected to serve on the Board:
· President: Karen Kempert, Cavalier County Emergency Management
· Vice President: Tricia Kriel, Ransom County Emergency Management
· 2nd Vice President: Sara VanDeVelde, Stark County Emergency Management
· Member at Large: Mike Hallesy, Williams County Emergency Management
· Secretary/Treasurer: Holly Bloodshaw, Stark County Emergency Management
· Past President: Mary Senger, Burleigh County Emergency Management
