Thursday evening, Century Link reported a failure in a main transmission line from Fargo to Jamestown, near Valley City.   Their main fiber cable was cut west of Valley City, near the Berea elevator.

This caused disruption in phone services for Century Link & Daktel phone customers in the Jamestown area.

Phone service to Jamestown was restored overnight and was working normally Friday morning.  Crews are in process of doing permanent repairs.
