handcuffsValley City (CSi) Valley City Police is looking for information from the public as a Valley City woman is charged withdisorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an early Sunday morning incident.

Valley City Police reports that officers responded at approximately 2:39 a.m. to 923 4th Avenue, Northwest to a complaint of someone trying to break down a door. Outside the residence, officers found 31 year old Lindsey Thorton whom they believed to be intoxicated.

Police determined Thorton was at the house in a dispute over property with her recently divorced ex-husband.

As officers were speaking with the man, Thorton entered the residence and refused repeated requests to leave.

Officers arrested Thorton t for disorderly conduct and attempted to place her in handcuffs when she resisted arrest and kicked one of the officers.

After handcuffed, she had to be carried to a patrol car for transport to the Barnes County Correctional Center.
