Bid opening for new Faith Lutheran Church

Valley City (CSi)) Bids will be opened next Tuesday as a Valley City Church that was destroyed by fire in October of 2013, will be re-established with a new structure at a new location.

The Rev. Jolene Knutson-Hanse, pastor at Faith Lutheran Church, said she thinks construction will begin when the ground thaws, with the completion date uncertain at this time.

The new church will be across the street to the east in a mostly vacant lot that includes the old Smith Lumber Company building, which has since moved to a location on the east side of Valley City.

The former church was located at 251 4th Street. Northeast in downtown Valley City.
